WARREN — A Warren man is facing a charge after a small child was found roaming a nearby road Monday afternoon. Matthew Snyder, 39, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of child endangerment in front of Warren Municipal Court Judge Patricia Knepp. According to a police report, officers were called to the area of Elm Road NE for a young child running in the road, who a witness said she saw while on her way to work. Staff report WHEELING, W.VA. — A Warren man who transported methamphetamine to Wetzel County was sentenced this week to 10 years in federal prison, according to U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia Matthew L. Harvey. Kyle Thomas Bryan, 33, of Warren, was sentenced Tuesday to 120 months in prison on a charge of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Child nearly drowns in Weathersfield

WEATHERSFIELD — Township police said a 3-year-old girl almost drowned in a swimming pool on the Fourth of July, but adults at the scene administering CPR saved her life. Police Chief Michael Naples said the girl is recovering and is expected to be OK. Police responded at 3:45 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 1600 block of Warner Avenue for a child who almost drowned in a pool. First responders and adults at the scene were able to help the child with CPR. Naples said the action of the adults and first responders saved her life.
