Downtown resident blasts letter on Realty

DEAR EDITOR: Akil Drake died in a horrible explosion. Who’s at fault remains to be seen. I heard he was sitting eating lunch when the floor gave way and he was crushed to death. Where is your compassion for many of the Chase employees who were injured and their lives forever altered because of this? Shame on you for that letter in the Oct. 26 Vindicator. Tax math of county auditor questioned

DEAR EDITOR: I read the article in the Sept. 19 Vindicator about Mahoning County Auditor Ralph Meacham complaining about people not paying their property taxes on time and threatening them with publishing their names. Cleaning house at YSU should follow Zoldan gift

DEAR EDITOR: My faith in the credibility of YSU and its reputation in the Mahoning Valley was reinstated with Mr. Zoldan’s recent announcement to revisit his philanthropic donations to the university. It has been a well-received announcement. More importantly, taking said donation to the Dana School of Music, out of direct administrative control and relegating funding solely to its director, Dr. Joseph Carucci, was a wise and propitious move.
