The ghost of Christmas Future may be singing this with all Floridians with the removal of fluoride in H2O.
Who sparked this inquiry? It came from the gravelly voice of RFK Jr, nominated for Health and Human Services secretary, and Florida's Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, to end fluoride in water. The bright side: Grand Rapids, Michigan, became the first city to all fluoride to its water supply in 1945, 79 years ago. Scientists noticed that people in areas with higher water fluoride levels had fewer cavities. After 11 years, the rate of tooth decay among children in Grand Rapids dropped more than 60%.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, considers water fluoridation to be one of the greatest achievements in public health in the 20th Century.
