Summers on the farm transition into school

I always struggle with what to write for this column because we’re not quite at the point in the year when I can be excited for fall and summer is almost over. It’s that weird limbo time of the year similar to spring where it’s not winter, but not yet summer either. Yet, it is back-to-school time, so I thought I’d write about the struggle of going back to school. Yearly car show rolling into Fowler

FOWLER CAR SHOW: The Fowler Township Historical Society will host its annual basket raffle and car show noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the corner of state Routes 193 and 305. The event will include a basket raffle from noon to 3 p.m., 50-50 raffle, and vintage and restored cars and tractors. The historic Butts Family Museum will be open for tours. Backpack Bash set in Fowler

FOWLER EVENT: The 2026 Backpack Bash, a free family event for Fowler Township residents and surrounding communities, will take place noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Fowler General Store and Market, Fowler Township Green and former Neal School area.
