Despite heavy rain, flooding at minimum
WARREN — Despite several days of steady rain, few local roads flooded, according to local police dispatching centers.
Perhaps the only road closed Monday because of flooding was the exit ramp from Interstate 80 east to state Route 62, but it opened later in the day.
About 3.5 inches of rain fell on Sunday and another 0.67 inches fell Monday. Slightly more than 5 inches of rain has fallen in the area since Sept. 1, according to the National Climatic Data Center.
Rain is expected to go away today and Wednesday, but could return on Thursday, when there is a 30 percent chance, according to the National Weather Service.
