DEAR EDITOR: As a Youngstown native, I wanted to care for the community that raised me. When the opportunity to serve the Mahoning Valley as an internal medicine physician presented itself in 2005, I answered the call. DEAR EDITOR: I have been thinking about writing this letter for a couple of weeks because of what I have been reading in the Tribune. Our water bills will in all likelihood be raised a substantial amount, the Trumbull County auditor wants more money to run her department, the trouble the Commissioners are having with the county budget, etc. Niki Frenchko wrote a letter to the editor in the March 1-2 edition. DEAR EDITOR: The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force has been busy raiding and shutting down illegal “explicit” service spas and foot spas. Some of which have been raided on more than one occasion. Trumbull County Commissioner and former Township Trustee Rick Hernandez was a “landlord” to one of these “explicit foot spas” that was raided TWICE. DEAR EDITOR: Restaurant Inflation or rip-off? I think “rip-off extraordinaire.” On March 11 my wife and her lady friends had their monthly luncheon at a restaurant at Eastwood Mall. During lunch, my wife asked the server what white wine they had. The server went to check and returned with a blue bottle of wine and said it was the only white wine they had left. After lunch, my wife brought the empty bottle home because it was pretty. The Mount Carmel bells went silent

DEAR EDITOR: As a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, I would like to point out a very sad situation that occurred. I pondered writing this for two years, but feel this has to be told. In 2023, after the completion of the renovation at the church, my elderly father noticed that the Sanctus bells were no longer rung at the consecration during mass. Sadly he missed the sound of the bells. In March, upon missing the sound of the bells, my father purchased and donated bells to be rung again.
