Polivka should be council president

DEAR EDITOR:

The people of Warren have overwhelmingly chosen Dan Polivka to represent them as their candidate of choice in the March 2024 primary. Polivka received over 50% of the votes cast in the primary over his opposition, which won Polivka the opportunity to advance to the general election. Although coming up short in his bid for commissioner, Polivka did win 28 out of 28 Warren precincts.

It was a clear statement made by the people. It is Polivka’s proven track record of being a man that gets things done — his honesty and strong work ethic — which is why Warren voters were confident he was their choice.

Polivka plans to utilize his combined experience and knowledge to provide direction to his colleagues while conducting a professional council meeting.

FYI: Polivka, while on council, years ago, introduced the ordinance to allow Warren residents to speak at the meetings so that their concerns could be heard.

I ran into Polivka last week and asked him, “Why do you want to get back into politics?” Without hesitation, his response was “This is where it all started, when I was just 18 years old, my years of being a public servant were on the way, so it only seemed right that I should return where it began.”

Warren voters, we are in critical times and require strong leadership, good decision making. There is no room for procrastination or indecisiveness. I ask that you cast your vote for Dan Polivka for president of Warren City Council.
