Some deportations have been unjust

DEAR EDITOR: No one wants violent criminals at large in our communities. But allowing numerous deportations to a brutal prison across the globe without a legal trial is not only unlawful, but inhumane. Some of those swept up in those raids were innocent of any crime and some had a traffic violation. During WWII, nearly 70,000 of the estimated 122,000 people of Japanese heritage who were incarcerated in isolated desert camps were actually innocent U.S. Citizens. DEAR EDITOR: I would like to thank you for your article in the weekend paper. It was about people being offended by every little thing, but it doesn’t make them right just because they’re offended. Why can’t people just accept that others don’t always have the same point of view as they do? This hatred of others who don’t agree with you is so foolish and childish. Ohio colleges are now propaganda arms

DEAR EDITOR: Last Friday, Gov. Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 1 into law. In 90 days, it will silence free speech in Ohio’s public universities by threatening to punish professors and administrators who appear to take sides on “controversial beliefs or policies.” What is a controversial belief or policy?
