Narcan access is critically important

DEAR EDITOR: As a senior nursing student and lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, I want to express my deep concern over the recent discussions to defund local programs that distribute Narcan (naloxone), the life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. This decision, if left unchallenged, will have profound consequences for our community, especially as we continue to battle the opioid epidemic that has touched nearly every family in our region. DEAR EDITOR: One topic that gets little attention is the environment. Trump has cut climate research. So if we pretend that everything is fine, there is no problem. He did the same thing during COVID. Stop testing so no one knows how bad it is. During Trump’s first term he got rid of over 200 EPA regulations. This did provide a boost in the economy.
