It makes no sense to debate the ethnicity of the Jews. Their history is well documented in the bible. No other group has suffered as they. They suffered 400 years in slavery under Egyptian domination. This was around 1300 B.C. After Mosses freed them, they roamed around in the wilderness for 40 years. Under David and Solomon, the little nation rose to military and commercial success. Shortly after, however, the nation split into two kingdoms and suffered at the hands of Babylon, Persia and Rome.
Jesus was born during the Roman occupation. The Crusades of the 10th and 13th centuries brought more suffering. On the way to the Holy land Jewish communities were slaughtered. Crusaders believed that the Jews had killed Jesus. Many Jews ended up in Spain, Germany and Russia. They became known as Sephardi and Ashkenazic Jews. Today, because of the Balfour document following the end of World War II, the Jewish people are back home.
No matter what your views are in reference to the holocaust survivors, one thing can not be refuted. The people can trace their lineage back to the little nation of Israel. While in Europe, they never totally lost their language and culture. Their ancestors possibly built the great pyramids of Egypt. These people taught the world that there is but one God. They blessed mankind with the Bible.
And you doubt the Holocaust? "God Help US."
