GIRARD — Thomas R. Hays, 75, formerly of Girard, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Signature Healthcare of Warren. Thomas was born July 6, 1942, in Warren, the son of Myron and Edna Amy Hays. Thomas was a millwright at RMI Steel for 40 years. Thomas leaves to cherish memories of him, his wife, Marsha A. Hays, whom he married Dec. 9, 1977; his children, David W. (Kelly) Clark of Girard and Rhonda Schell of Kansas; his sister, Dorie Hays; his brothers, Paul Hays and Leo B. Hays; his nine grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. NILES — John Joseph Buydos Jr., 77, died Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of John Joseph and Anna Klesch Buydos. John served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War having been stationed at the Pentagon. After his discharge from the Army, he was a truck driver. McDONALD — Glenn M. Swift, 37, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home. A cause of death is pending. He was born Dec. 10, 1979, in Warren, a son of Gerald and Anna Marie Villio Swift Jr. He is survived by two brothers, Gerald and Justin Swift; a sister, Jamie Swift; his daughter, Angel Marie Swift; and one maternal grandmother. NILES — Dorothy C. Whetstone, 87, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at her residence. She was born July 6, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa., the daughter of John and Rose Tima Mikula. She was employed at HK Porter and in housecleaning. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Whetstone, with whom she resided; two sons, William Whetstone Jr. of Niles and Stanley Whetstone of Newton Falls; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. NILES — Kyle Allen Davis, 19, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Andover Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following complications from surgery. He was born Aug. 8, 1997, in Youngstown, the son of Donna J. Davis and Mac McClung. He was a 2016 graduate of Howland High School. He attended Galilee Apostolic Church. NILES — Nicolo “Nick” Accordino, 90, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born June 12, 1927, in Gioiosa Marea, Sicily, to Salvatore and Grazia Natoli Accordino. Nick owned and operated Accordino’s Barber Shop in Warren for 60 years.
