Ohio — particularly poorer, more rural regions — has begun to experience a trend with which neighboring West Virginia is all too familiar. While the country added 172,000 jobs in May, Ohio lost 2,400. Unemployment, on the other hand, fell; but not for the reason we would all hope. DIG INTO TRUMBULL COUNTY’S PAST: Children can dig into Trumbull County’s past this summer at a hands-on archaeology summer camp for ages 8 to 14. The camp, which is hosted by the Trumbull County Historical Society, will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8 to 10 at Center Brook Manor, 8745 Painesville Warren Road in Bloomfield.
