HOWLAND — Motorists traversing a portion of Mines Road should expect delays next week — but not for long. Trumbull County Engineer David DeChristofaro announced the resurfacing of the road in a news release Thursday, which will affect Mines from state Route 46 to Stillwagon Road beginning Monday. Airplane pilot killed in collision with Pa. police helicopter near runway

An airplane pilot died Wednesday after a collision with a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter near a runway at a small airport, but both state troopers aboard the helicopter survived, authorities said. Eric Swalwell and searched his Washington home as part of an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by the ex-Democratic congressman from California, according to a person familiar with the matter.
