State grants awarded to upgrade 2 intersections

The Ohio Department of Transportation awarded two grants to Trumbull County for a roundabout in Braceville and reduced collision U-turn lanes at a Southington intersection. The project in Braceville is getting a $5.61 million grant while the Southington one will receive $2.54 million. The Braceville project, to be done in 2032, would create a roundabout at the intersection of state Routes 5 and 534. Former Harding athlete dies in officer-involved shooting in Indiana

Staff report A former Warren G. Harding High School athlete was reportedly killed Wednesday in an officer-involved shooting in Indianapolis. Reports indicate that Dalys Jett, 21, died in the shooting after police said he had fired a gun at a group of police officers. Jett was a 2023 Harding graduate, where he played football and basketball. “Loved the kid.
