HOWLAND — The deadline to fall into line with a requirement that made headlines throughout the state in 2025 is getting closer, but Howland will not have to worry about it anymore, thanks to a pair of resolutions. Trustees at last week’s meeting approved accepting the Ohio Emergency Management Agency Fiscal Year 2023 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant, worth $12,800 with a $3,200 local match. YOUNGSTOWN — Simply Slavic, billed as Ohio’s premier celebration of Slavic culture and heritage, is preparing for its 15th anniversary festival — a milestone the nonprofit is marking by expanding to three days of programming for the first time.
