Howland OKs support for water trail extension

HOWLAND — The Mahoning River has been a central focus in the area for the past few years at both the state and local level, and Howland trustees at Wednesday’s meeting approved a resolution aimed at helping to promote its growth. Kinsman trustee leaving after 15 years of service

KINSMAN — After 15 years of service as a township trustee, Greg Leonhard is stepping down for a job with the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office. Warren police investigating hammer attack

WARREN — City police are investigating after receiving a report that a man was hit in the head with a hammer. According to a police report, dispatchers told an officer that the Mercy Health Police Department was on a foot chase for a suspect who hit someone in the head with a hammer on Friday, and after speaking with another officer, learned that the suspect disappeared north of the cancer treatment center. CHAMPION — The Trumbull Career and Technical Center will provide free breakfast and lunch to all students under the federal Community Eligibility Provision for the 2026-27 school year.
