WARREN — The Trumbull County Commissioners are reviewing a proposal that would move the county’s 911 Center to a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system that will allow it to better communicate with police departments throughout the county. Man riding e-bike killed after falling onto roadway

WARREN TOWNSHIP — William Blair, 49, of Leavittsburg was pronounced deceased at the scene of a 9:10 p.m. Tuesday accident on Tod Avenue (state Route 45) near Eighth Street involving Blair losing control of the e-bike he was riding and falling off the bike, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported in a 3:54 a.m. news release from the Patrol's Southington post. A 2021 Ford F-150 operated by Benjamin Woodyard, 45, of Warren, was traveling north on Tod Avenue when it struck Blair, the release states. Liquor option in Warren fails to make fall ballot

WARREN — The Trumbull County Board of Elections certified all issues and liquor options, except one, to the Nov. 3 ballot. The board met Tuesday to approve all of the issues and all but one liquor option. The board ruled that an option for the Sunday on-premise sale of wine, mixed beverages and spirituous liquor for Loom Lodge 0186 Trumbull in Warren Precinct 4F did not have enough valid signatures. Head of scheme that stole millions to be sentenced

SALEM — Shreyas Baldevbhai Chaudhary, 25, who is from the Republic of India, will be sentenced at 10 a.m. Thursday in U.S. District Court in Cleveland for his role in a three-person scheme that stole millions of dollars from older adults across the United States, including a 77-year-old Salem man. Prosecutors are recommending that he get about eight to 10 years in prison. They say he was the person who directed the scheme.
