Men accused in break-in of fire damaged house indicted

WARREN — William Peterson, 53, of Washington Street NE, Warren, was indicted on three counts of breaking and entering and two counts of grand theft, according to a list of indictments. Aaron Boden, 29, of North Road, Niles, was indicted on one count of breaking and entering. According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the area of Belmont Street NE and Olive Avenue NE May 2, after a neighbor reported seeing two men leaving a residence that sustained heavy fire damage in March. Farmington residents evacuated amid gas leak

WEST FARMINGTON — Residents from 10 homes along South Park Drive in the village were evacuated for two hours on late Friday afternoon after a crude oil well ruptured. Fire Chief Jonathan Bland said there were no injuries and no one was reported sick after the 4 p.m. rupture. He said what caused the well to rupture is being investigated by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Oil and Gas. Healthy Hearts and Paws out of space

WARREN — Following the addition of more dogs and cats this weekend, officials with the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project said they have no more space for animals. Jason Cooke, director of Healthy Hearts and Paws, posted that the complex in Warren took in one dog and over a dozen cats recently, putting the total number of animals taken in in June to 57 dogs and more than 34 cats.
