Woman charged with felonious assault, held in contempt for Warren courtroom fight

WARREN — Ryshionna Powell, 18, of Warren, is in the Trumbull County jail, charged with felonious assault, after an incident Monday afternoon in Warren Municipal Court in which she got into a fight with a Lowellville woman in the courtroom and threw a phone at the Lowellville woman’s head, causing a laceration. On Tuesday, Powell was arraigned in the same courtroom where the fight took place by Visiting Judge Terry Ivanchak. Powell pleaded not guilty and her bond was set at $15,000. WARREN — A 10-month-old baby who tested positive for fentanyl became unresponsive and was in critical condition Sunday at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. Police were called to a home in the 4400 block of Berkshire Drive Southeast off of North Road at 11 a.m. for the cardiac arrest of the child. Plan proposed to acquire more sheriff cruisers

WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners are considering establishing an annual program allowing the sheriff’s office to purchase at least four patrol cars per year to replenish its aging vehicle force. Under the proposed program, the county will be able to purchase a minimum of four vehicles per year or one vehicle per quarter.
