• Introduced a new set of policies for the school district, as recommended by legal counsel, to comply with new federal law and state financial policies. The policies will receive a second reading in May. A full listing of the policies is available through the district’s website.
• Approved the list of seniors who have completed all requirements for graduation from Lakeview High School. This year’s graduating class has 93 students.
• Approved next year’s contract with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center in the amount of $883,000. The board was able to save approximately $75,000, according to superintendent Ashley Handrych, by negotiating lower service levels and eliminating some programs.
• Approved the purchase of 135 Chromebooks for approximately $33,000. The computers will be used by incoming seventh-grade students.
• Approved a contract for $4,200 to Jeff Piper, who will paint a mural, including the newly approved Bulldog mascot in the high school gym. The logo was designed by an alumnus of the school district.
