WASHINGTON, Pa. – In a five inning shortened game due to rain, Edogawa, Japan, defeated Youngstown, Ohio, 6-2 to begin Day 5 of the 2023 DICK’S Sporting Goods PONY League World Series.

The win puts Edogawa at 2-0 as they advance to the semi-finals and will face the winner of Game 13 between Covina, California, and Youngstown at 4:30 p.m. today. That team will need to beat Edogawa twice to advance to the championship. With the loss, Youngstown drops to 1-1 and will play against Covina, California, for a chance to advance to the semi-finals.
