Scholarship roast set

APRI SCHOLARSHIP ROAST: The 18th annual A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) annual scholarship roast will take place 3 p.m. Saturday at DiVieste’s Banquet Center. The event will honor Sterling McCullough Williams, who lives in Warren and owns and operates Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Homes in Youngstown and Warren. School’s out for the summer… well, almost! It’s time for summer activities and making memories. Many of the summer memories I have of my childhood and that of my children revolve around 4-H and the county fair. What started out as agricultural clubs in Clark County, Ohio, in 1902 for rural children has grown into an informal, practical, learning-by-doing educational program for all youth. Golf outing set for animal shelter

TEE OFF FORE TAILS: The Tee Off Fore Tails golf outing to benefit The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project in Warren will be June 6 at Old Avalon Golf Course in Warren. The event will take place rain or shine and will feature a 50/50 raffle, basket raffle and skill games including men’s and women’s longest drive, men’s and women’s closest to the pin, and men’s and women’s longest putt. RIVERSIDE PARK GRAND OPENING: Niles city officials will open Riverside Park during a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at noon Thursday. Riverside Park, part of the Downtown Riverfront Revitalization Project, is located near the Mahoning River at the corner of First and Brown streets in Niles.
