UPDATE: Newton Falls finds water break location

NEWTON FALLS -- Village residents and police were asked to help locate a water main break this afternoon in the community that was found and helped prevent loss of water. Village Manager David Lynch posted on the village's Facebook page that the break had been located after Chuck Lane of the water distribution department was able to detect where the break was.Lynch said the break was in the area of Canal and Franklin streets. Face masks mandated in Trumbull, six other counties.

WARREN - Gov. Mike DeWine today had the Ohio Department of Health order seven counties, including Trumbull, to mandate that people there wear a face mask when in public effective at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The seven counties are designated as Level 3 (red) high-risk areas for COVID-19. The order will stay on as long as the county is at a red level or if it goes to the highest level, purple. Less than 50 hours before the gates were supposed to open for the first River Rock at the Amp concert of the summer at Warren Community Amphitheatre, Sunrise Entertainment announced the season has been canceled. YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown police, about a dozen troopers from the Ohio State Highway patrol, Other officers, and officers in Mahoning County‘s armored, SWAT vehicle have dispersed a crowd of protesters from downtown. Bishop Murry submits resignation

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown announced Tuesday that Bishop George V. Murry, has submitted to Pope Francis his resignation from the office of diocesan bishop for reasons of ill health. Diagnosed with a form of acute leukemia, in April 2018, Murry underwent intensive chemo therapy at the Cleveland Clinic. In July 2019 he reentered the Cleveland Clinic for a recurrence of leukemia. At that time tests confirmed that he was in remission and that doctors were not recommending a bone marrow transplant. This past April, his leukemia returned and he resumed treatment. ...
