DEAR EDITOR: If not now, when? Best to wait two weeks to see if Iran will commit to a deal. This has been going on for 46 years, since Iran took hostages in 1979 ­— I still have that newspaper flag that I hung on my window until they were released. DEAR EDITOR: If Trumbull County worries that the property-tax bill will shrink the budget that is under consideration, maybe this is long-overdue? Instead of being quick to raise sales taxes, how about eliminating fraud, waste and abuse from the Trumbull County budget? DEAR EDITOR: Ohio’s Republican legislators are again trying to override the will of voters by initiating yet another attempt to override abortion rights. Less than two years ago, we overwhelmingly passed Issue 1, which was an initiative for which Ohioans collected signatures to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot. Voters approved it by a ratio of 56 to 44 percent, which indicated that a majority of people including Democratic, Republican and Independent voters wanted this amendment. DEAR EDITOR: I’m on the do not call list. Yet for months I’ve been getting spam calls. I get 5 to 7 a day. I don’t answer them. If you are selling something, I don’t want it. Nor will you get any information from me to empty my bank account. I’ll get a call from North Canton. Half hour later, a call from Texas. Then a call from Shreves.
