Don’t just criticize, solve a problem

DEAR EDITOR: This is for the person responsible for criticizing the Democrats in a recent Sound Off item. If you’re so intelligent and all-knowing, why not sign your name and let all the rest of us know what you propose to do to replace something that is working? What? DONNA NASSER Sharon, Pa.

Sound off!

I would like to award a whole armful of orchids to the maintenance crew at Warren’s Perkins Park. The grounds on Mother’s Day weekend were absolutely manicured. It was a beautiful setting for the holiday celebration. — Warren 99.9% of the world watches in dismay as Trump rapidly destroys the very fabric of the supreme law of our land (The U.S. Constitution); and seemingly for the purpose of recreating our nation as his cult of personality (an autocratic former New York City wannabe gangster). There is universal uncertainty and sadness as the era of American- led geopolitical ...

Thank you, Trumbull Sheriff Mike Wilson

DEAR EDITOR: I have been a regular Tribune Chronicle customer for 34 years. I would like to thank Mike Wilson, the new Trumbull County Sheriff, for the coverage that we receive now. He deserves a huge thank you. In my 34 years here, I have seen more coverage this year than in the previous 34 years combined. I want to thank the sheriff publicly. CHARLES THOMAS Southington

Animal abuse and cruelty unacceptable

DEAR EDITOR: The recent example of horrible cruelty and abuse of a dog/Baby at the hands of a neighborhood man is vile, disgusting and scum-bag behavior on Oak Knoll SE. It is horrific! The helpless dog was chained to his basement— cold, dark and alone — no food or water or medical attention with only a dirty blanket to lay on! I have to wonder how she survived this past cold winter. The pain she must have endured — it is unimaginable! When found she was unable to walk and finally had to be euthanized due to the terrible condition she was in — caused by his cruelty. At ...

Don’t fall for the Dam Scam

DEAR EDITOR: I’ve been following the MetroParks’ assault on the dam in Leavittsburg and others on the Mahoning River with the removal project and have never been a fan, much less a believer in the necessity of their removal. First off, how and why are the MetroParks with a budget of only about $120,000, pushing the buttons of a $4.8 million project? The answer is it’s not. It’s just a tool of the Mahoning River Corridor Revitalization Plan, which is a proxy of GoGreen.gov, a 503c tax-exempt organization based in, you guessed it, California and their Go Green initiative. ...

Gaza’s problems can be traced back

DEAR EDITOR: Who is really at fault? Let’s get things straight! Having a visa as a foreigner is a privilege. Try protesting in a foreign country against their leader and we may never see you again, especially a communist country. You are allowed to protest in the U.S. if you are here on a visa, BUT, you must be peaceful, non-violent and non-disruptive. No vandalism or any illegal activities and you still run the risk of your immigration status and can be deported when arrested. You do not have the same rights as a U.S. citizen. Overstaying on a visa can lead to deportation. ...
