DEAR EDITOR: Regarding the Dec. 5 poll question, “Should Pete Hegseth resign as Secretary of War?” Hegseth has rebuilt our Armed Forces, bringing back people who were attacked in 2021 and kicked out because of a mandate forcing the military to get rid of those who already had COVID-19. Many of them had their shots. Under Biden, the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin — look how he destroyed our military by getting people out who loved God and country. He was racist. Trump’s bombing of boats is not justified

DEAR EDITOR: The premeditated killing of unarmed civilians in boats is not a legitimate act of either war or law enforcement. The Trump administration says they are protecting us from the flow of dangerous and illegal drugs. There are two problems with this. First, they have not released any evidence. We are supposed to just trust them. Second, even if the boaters really are drug runners, the appropriate response is to arrest them and give them a trial. The current two-party system is failing us

DEAR EDITOR: It has become crystal clear with the recently Republican approved redistricting map, anti-abortion bills, anti-marijuana changes, and many other recent bills, that they have no interest in what the voters want or what is in our best interest. To resolve this issue, we need a new approach. We need new political third parties on the ballot that will represent voters who are left out of the current two-party system that is failing us. I got a kick out of the article by Rich Lowry, about the conspiracy theories concerning TPUSA and the Charlie Kirk killing. Isn’t Candace Owens simply a chicken coming home to roost? — Niles Howland must have cornered the market on gifted teens. According to the Honor Roll insert of the Tribune, Howland listed 135 Seniors on the Honor Roll. Of those 135 students, 115 had achieved straight A’s (a 4.0 average). Really? That goes way beyond the normal ratio and certainly leaves all the other schools in the dust, schools that recorded more believable numbers. Makes one think that ...
