The Youngstown Police Department was among dozens of law enforcement agencies involved in a northern Ohio violent crime crackdown known as Operation Northern Shield, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. Hundreds of individuals were taken into custody throughout northern Ohio as part of the multi-agency strategic initiative to combat violent crime. McDONALD — A company interested in possibly locating a data center in the village will meet with members of council, the administration and the public next month. Mayor Ray Lewis on Wednesday told a crowd of more than 75 people who gathered at the village community room that officials with Oppidan will address the public at a meeting Sept. 15 at McDonald High School. The Ohio Supreme Court dismissed Trumbull County Domestic Relations/Juvenile Division Judge David L. Engler’s lawsuit seeking to stop abortions in the state.
