US grows product list in trade war with Canada

TORONTO (AP) — The United States is banning the import of some dairy products and motorcycles from Canada along with most alcoholic beverages, the White House said Tuesday, as part of a trade war that shows little sign of cooling off. The ban will take effect Sept. 29 and comes after retaliatory tariffs promised by Canada kicked in earlier Tuesday on $20 billion in U.S. imports. Boardman bicyclist undertaking journey around Lake Erie

Boardman cyclist Carl Foote is turning miles into memories and milestones. On Wednesday, he embarked on the Magical Memory Tour (MMT 2026), a 700-mile, two-week bicycle journey around the entire perimeter of Lake Erie. BAZETTA — In July, township trustees gave permission for a wildlife exhibitor to participate in township park events. It wasn’t a unanimous decision, and at least one resident wants them to rethink it. Robyn Hineman of Northland Drive raised concerns during Tuesday’s trustees meeting about BobKats Lil Critters, questioning the potential liability of allowing members of the public to handle wild animals at township events.
