CORTLAND — City Council approved an $8,600 software purchase as an emergency measure so the police department can remain compatible with changes coming to the Trumbull County 911 system. Council unanimously authorized police Chief David Morris to switch the department’s records-management software from ID Network to Sundance Systems Inc. The change follows an Aug. 26 vote by Trumbull County commissioners to move the county 911 Center to Sundance’s computer-aided dispatch system. Data center rules not yet ready

WEATHERSFIELD — Trustees have approved extending the township’s moratorium on data centers by six months to allow officials more time for research. Trustees at their meeting earlier this month said the zoning commission, law director Cherry Poteet and zoning inspector Kelly Clarke have been working on zoning regulations and guidelines for data centers. WARREN — The Trumbull County Combined Health District (TCCHD) has been approved for $190,000 in grant funding from the OneOhio Recovery Foundation to support its efforts to address substance use disorders and strengthen prevention, treatment, recovery and community resilience initiatives.
