7.1 magnitude quake hits Japan’s southern Kyushu island

TOKYO (AP) — A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook Japan’s southern main island of Kyushu on Tuesday, leaving dozens of people injured or missing after part of a shopping center and a huge chimney at a paper factory collapsed, officials said. A tsunami advisory was issued but quickly lifted. There were fears that at least two people were dead. Liberty school board OKs student health services agreement

LIBERTY — Mental health is a growing major problem among young adults, and on Monday, the Liberty Board of Education approved a contract allowing the district to continue to reach more students who may benefit from support. The board approved a contract with Canton-based HWS Best Health LLC, effective Aug. 1 through July 31, 2027, with an annual renewal as provided in the agreement.
