LIBERTY — Sharon Wathen said she did not grow up in Liberty, but has lived in the area for 50 years. However, she admitted there was plenty she didn’t know about the township, “I figured if that was the case for me, it had to be the case for others,” said Wathen, one of the Liberty Township Heritage Tour’s organizers. Hubbard police probing theft of ATM from store

HUBBARD — City police are investigating the theft of an ATM from the main lobby of Burlews Fresh Market on North Main Street A police report states a break-in alarm rang at 4 a.m. Friday and when officers arrived, they found a door to the store kicked in with glass on the floor inside. Police are reviewing video surveillance to identify possible suspects. Last month, Brookfield police responded to a similar incident of the theft of an ATM from a Sparkle Market where a window to the store was found smashed out.
