WARREN — Two women, one from Warren and one from Campbell, pleaded guilty Wednesday to various charges and will be sentenced later. Nina Colbert, 26, of Belvedere Avenue, Warren, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery, one count of felony burglary and one count misdemeanor domestic violence before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean O’Brien. She was convicted of breaking into the Belvedere Avenue home of an 88-year-old woman and knocking her to the ground in April. She also was convicted of robbing her 73-year-old grandmother. GIRARD — City Council has approved Girard officials participating with other local communities and leaders to extend the Mahoning River Water Trail. At their meeting this week, officials said that Girard will join other communities such as Howland, Weathersfield, McDonald, Youngstown, Campbell, Struthers, Lowellville and Poland to extend the Mahoning River Water Trail as a means to encourage tourism and eco-friendly, educational, historical, cultural and recreational activities on the river. WARREN — A Niles man who pleaded guilty in May to four felony sex charges dealing with the rape of a 13-year-old in December was sentenced Wednesday to consecutive prison terms totaling 22 to 27.5 years.
