1 min read

A $317,645 state Critical Infrastructure grant will help Liberty Township with the installation of catch basins, manholes and drainage pipes to improve drainage and reduce flooding.

The project will benefit 124 people, according to a Friday announcement from Gov. Mike DeWine.

DeWine announced $17.5 million in grants to 32 communities throughout Ohio for either Neighborhood Revitalization or Critical Infrastructure grants. Of the funding, 22 communities are getting $10 million for Critical Infrastructure grants and 10 are receiving a total of $7.5 million for Neighborhood Revitalization grants.

The funding comes through the federal Community Development Block Grant program.

DeWine said: "Reliable water and sewer systems, safe streets and strong neighborhoods create communities where families can live their very best lives. The investments we're making today build a better foundation for the future by helping our local partners make essential improvements."
