Rescuer finds, saves 11-year-old boy in a locked dog cage during fire

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department and Youngstown Fire Department are investigating what is being called an arson early Monday in which an 11-year-old boy was rescued from a dog cage in a first-floor bedroom. An unidentified person rescued the boy from a locked dog cage while helping to rescue the boy and his family from a fire Monday on Forest View Drive on the East Side. Violent Fugitive Task Force seeks help in finding man

YOUNGSTOWN — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of fugitive Timothy Davis, 22. Davis is wanted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Marshals Service for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute drugs. Davis is described as a black man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Davis has been known to frequent the Youngstown, Akron, Cleveland and Wheeling, W.Va. areas. Grant to cover costs for road improvements in Lordstown

LORDSTOWN — A nearly $70,000 Road Use Maintenance Agreement grant will be used to cover some of the costs of resurfacing a section of Henn Parkway and Lyntz Road. Village council at its meeting Monday approved proceeding with the $510,692 project to be done by Shelley and Sands Inc. of North Jackson. Officials said the RUMA funds are helping the village.
