Man indicted in trooper’s death pleads not guilty

YOUNGSTOWN — Ryan Rach, 36, who was indicted last week on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in the Oct. 16 crash that killed Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Nicholas Cayton, was arraigned on the charges Monday morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. Cracker Barrel’s CEO is stepping down nearly a year after an attempted rebrand of the chain led to a fierce customer backlash. Cracker Barrel said Monday that CEO Julie Masino will step down next month but remain with the company until Oct. 9 in an advisory capacity. David Deno will succeed Masino on Aug. 10 as CEO. Warren men arrested on theft charges

WARREN — Two Warren men identified as suspects in a vehicle theft from a local business’s garage early Friday are set to appear back in court today. Jaqwan Johnson, 31, pleaded not guilty to charges of theft and breaking and entering, and Dequan Dawson, 24, pleaded not guilty to charges of theft and receiving stolen property in Warren Municipal Court.
