WARREN — A month has passed since May’s primary election, and post-primary campaign finance reports filed with the Trumbull County Board of Elections reveal how candidates in hotly contested races fared before then. The Friends of Michael J. Hovis, a group supporting Bazetta Township Trustee Michael Hovis as he won the Republican primary against incumbent Trumbull County Commissioner Denny Malloy, reported $1,755 carried over from the last report. Law enforcement cracks down on Lake Milton violators

Staff report LAKE MILTON — Working with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force, deputies with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office conducted a crackdown on lawbreakers at Lake Milton last weekend. Deputies, agents and ODNR officers, some working undercover, arrested or cited 15 people for various infractions. Felonious assault charges dismissed

WARREN — A man and a woman who were taken into custody by Warren police Tuesday have had charges against them dismissed in connection to a shooting Tuesday at the corner of Parkman Road and Northfield Avenue. Warren Municipal Court records indicate second-degree felonious assault charges were dismissed against Jordan Coleman, 20, of Warren and Lily Ansel, 18, of Niles when they were arraigned this week in court in front of Judge Natasha Natale.
