County approves spending $2M in senior funds

WARREN — Trumbull County Commissioners during their Wednesday meeting approved using $1,955,000 in Trumbull Senior Levy funding to provide services to the county’s senior residents. The county’s senior levy board provided recommendations to the commissioners on how the money should be allocated among organizations that submitted bids for service contracts. WARREN — Members of the North End Neighborhood Watch Group want to see vehicles off the roads, especially at night, and their councilwoman is helping them to make it a reality as city officials are banning overnight parking. 2 men sentenced in cases involving minors

WARREN — A Leavittsburg man was sentenced Tuesday to two-to-three-years in prison in a child pornography case. Allan Patchin, 36, of Burwell Road, also was declared a Tier 2 sex offender by Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sarah Kovoor, meaning he will have to register his address with the local sheriff every six months for 25 years after he is released from prison. HUBBARD — A city official said the joint cemetery’s board of trustees is going “back to the drawing board” after a proposed levy aimed at improving the grounds and their roads was rejected.
