Vienna’s resolution details rescue efforts

VIENNA — It’s been about a week since a search for a missing teenager resulted in him being returned to his family, safe and sound, and Vienna officials showed their appreciation to the entities that helped make it possible. Trial in mail carrier murder moved to Friday

Newly discovered evidence in the federal murder trial of Kaprise and Thomas Sledge caused the start of the trial to be moved from Monday to 8:30 a.m. this Friday, according to a Sunday and a Monday filing in U.S. District Court in Cleveland. The Sledges were supposed to go on trial Monday in the March 2, 2024, shooting death of U.S. Postal Service carrier Jonte Davis, 33, at Olive Avenue and Scott Street just northeast of Courthouse Square in Warren.
