Kinsman trustee leaving after 15 years of service

KINSMAN — After 15 years of service as a township trustee, Greg Leonhard is stepping down for a job with the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office. Leonhard’s last day as a trustee was at the August meeting. Leonard said he received an offer from Trumbull County Sheriff Mike Wilson to be operations commander for the sheriff’s office. Warren police investigating hammer attack

WARREN — City police are investigating after receiving a report that a man was hit in the head with a hammer. According to a police report, dispatchers told an officer that the Mercy Health Police Department was on a foot chase for a suspect who hit someone in the head with a hammer on Friday, and after speaking with another officer, learned that the suspect disappeared north of the cancer treatment center. CHAMPION — The Trumbull Career and Technical Center will provide free breakfast and lunch to all students under the federal Community Eligibility Provision for the 2026-27 school year.
