WHAT: Village council meeting Monday
PRESENT: Robert Bond, Mark McGrail, Lamar Liming, Jamei Moseley, Jessica Blank, Ron Radtka and Mayor Jackie Woodward
Council:
• Heard from Village Engineer Chris Kogelnik who said the state Route 45 water booster station has received $200,000 in American Rescue Plan funds that need to be used by the fall. The $620,000 project is out for bid. Kogelnik said other projects planned are Lyntz Road resurfacing and state Route 45 shoulder project.
• Heard from Buildings and Streets Superintendent Martin Nelder crews have dealt with flooding damage from recent rainstorms that uprooted trees because of very saturated ground.
• Announced Alexander Pest Control will do mosquito spraying June 16, July 16, Aug. 19 and Sept. 10. There is a “Do Not Spray” list for certain properties in the village.
• Announced the mobile food market van will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 26 at Imperial Mobile Home Park.
• Approved updates to the fire code requiring annual inspection by the fire chief of each commercial and industrial business within the village.
• Announced the community picnic will be 1 to 4 p.m. May 16 at the park.
