Multiple businesses vandalized on Parkman Road in Warren
WARREN — Several businesses along Parkman Road in Warren were vandalized overnight Tuesday, with damaged windows and doors reported at four locations.
Police noted that a female suspect was linked to the incidents, but no arrests were detailed in the reports.
According to multiple Warren police reports, police responded about 2:30 a.m. to an alarm at Family Dollar, 2186 Parkman Road NW. Officers observed a damaged glass door but noted that no entry was gained. Police said attempts to contact a keyholder were unsuccessful at the time.
Between midnight and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, O’Reilly Auto Parts, 2320 Parkman Road NW, reported two broken front windows. A store worker informed police that rocks were thrown at the windows overnight, the report states.
The worker suggested the suspect might be linked to similar incidents at a former PNC bank and a State Farm business on the same street, but police said the store lacked surveillance cameras to confirm this.
Around the same time, between 2:30 a.m. and 2:45 a.m., Lit’l Macs, 1763 Parkman Road NW, reported a broken front window. The report states the store owner provided video footage showing a suspect wearing grey pants, a long-sleeve jacket and a blue shirt pulling a rock from a black bag and throwing it at the window before walking south on Parkman Road.
An officer later noted that the suspect’s outfit matched that of an individual encountered at Fast Fuel on Parkman Road that night, carrying an empty black bag.
Additionally, Disaster Recovery Services LTD at 2460 Parkman Road NW reported a broken window discovered Tuesday morning.
Police said the owner found a rock that had been thrown through the window, but surveillance footage was unavailable at the time of the report. The owner was advised on how to file charges and planned to provide video evidence to the prosecutor later.
