Mogadore man arrested after naked hospital confrontation

WARREN — A Mogadore man accused of stealing snacks from a hospital before getting into a naked confrontation with security and police in the parking lot faces several misdemeanor charges.

John Streeter, 63, of Waterloo Road, pleaded not guilty to charges of petty theft, public indecency, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and two counts of drug paraphernalia Tuesday before Warren Municipal Court Judge Natasha K. Natale.

Streeter is due back in court June 13.

According to a Warren police report, the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Monday at Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where hospital security caught a man stealing from an area designated for hospital staff and first responders.

The man is alleged to have filled a backpack with $200 worth of snacks before attempting to leave the hospital, the report states.

The man was initially confronted by security trying to retrieve the items when police said he began to take off his clothes, including his shoes, and later refused to put them back on, which led to him being arrested, the report states.

The report states multiple people saw the man, including a 5-year-old girl, and that he shouted obscene remarks.

Starting at $3.23/week.
