Judge Cynthia Westcott, Women’s Therapeutic Docket recognized by area commission
WARREN — The Trumbull County Planning Commission recognized the Women’s Therapeutic Docket and Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Cynthia Westcott as April 2026 “Something Good” Initiative recipients for Mental Health Awareness Month.
The commission recognized the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Women’s Therapeutic Docket, honoring programs that promote healing, recovery and improved outcomes for individuals and families.
Court officials said the Women’s Therapeutic Docket was created to address the unique needs of women in the criminal justice system by providing structured support, accountability and access to treatment services.
Under Westcott’s leadership, the program has helped participants rebuild their lives, strengthen their families and achieve lasting recovery.
Through compassion, accountability and strong community partnerships, the docket has positively impacted many individuals who have successfully completed the program.
Officials said Westcott brings decades of legal and judicial experience to her role, reflecting a lifelong commitment to justice and public service.
Commission members said the Women’s Therapeutic Docket serves as a model for innovative, problem-solving courts, demonstrating how treatment and accountability can work together to strengthen individuals and the community.
