High court declines appeal of convicted drug dealer

The Supreme Court of Ohio on Tuesday declined jurisdiction in the appeal of defendant Donteill M. Grant, 46, who is serving an 11- to 16.5-year sentence at Richland Correctional Institution for a high-level felony drug possession conviction. Grant, of Sharpsville, Pa., was convicted and sentenced before Trumbull County Judge Cynthia Westcott on Nov. 6, 2024, which was upheld by the 11th District Court of Appeals on Nov. 10, 2025. Niles man facing felonious assault, kidnapping charges

NILES — A Niles man who has been held without bond after being accused of holding a woman against her will is set to appear back in Niles Municipal Court Wednesday. Vincent Lin, 20, pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping and domestic violence during a Tuesday morning arraignment. He also faces charges of strangulation and felonious assault.
