GREENFORD – Former Congressman Jim Traficant was critically injured in a tractor accident Tuesday at his daughter’s home.

Goshen police, who are handling the investigation, confirmed that Traficant is at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Reports state he is critical, but police officials said this morning said they do not have an update on his condition.

Reports state that Traficant was injured just before 8 p.m. at a farm on South Range Road. Emergency workers found him beneath the farm tractor.

Traficant was initially taken to Salem Community Hospital then later transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
