Mecca plans day for community fun

MECCA COMMUNITY DAY: The sixth annual Mecca Community Day will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the township park, 6100 state Route 46. The free family event will feature music, craft vendors, bounce houses, musical entertainment, backpack giveaway for children in grades K-12 (child must be present) and food trucks. Ride to benefit Niles girl battling cancer

BENEFIT RIDE: A Ride for Scarlett will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Army Navy Garrison 422, 1850 N. State St. Proceeds from the ride will benefit Scarlett Rozier, a 12-year old Niles student battling a rare form of pediatric lung cancer. There will be biker games, a basket raffle, 50-50 drawing and chicken dinners. CENTER FUNDRAISER: The Emmanuel Community Care Center, 2 N.
