Christmas dance to welcome all skill levels

CHRISTMAS DANCE: The Friendly Squares will host their Christmas dance 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Niles Scope Center, 14 E. State St. Gene Hammond and Neil Harnar will be the callers. This will be a high / low dance, with alternating tips for new dancers and tips for more experienced dancers. Dress code is casual. There is a $7 cost per person at the door. WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA: Niles city has partnered for Wreaths Across America and will place wreaths on veterans' graves at the Niles City Cemetery. The community can sponsor a wreath for each veteran's grave while paying tribute to fallen veterans. Niles has hosted the event for the past four years with 1,600 wreaths placed in 2024. This year’s ceremony takes place at noon Saturday. The wreaths will be laid immediately after the ceremony. Each wreath costs $17.
