SUNDAY • CORTLAND — The Cortland Veterans Memorial Committee program will be at 2 p..m. at the Veterans Memorial in Point Park. In line with the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, the Cortland Community Band will perform at 1:30 p.m. The featured speaker will be Lt. Col. James Johnson (U.S. Army retired). Girard hosts day in Liberty Park

LIBERTY PARK CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: Girard city will celebrate 100 years of Liberty Memorial Park with a community event noon to 7 p.m. Saturday.
