Hello, Trumbull County. We’ve finally had a nice, long break to get some gardening and farm work accomplished. The wet spring delayed field work and planting, and with the recent stretch of nice weather, farmers are working long days to catch up. It’s not just fieldwork being done during this time — many farmers and homesteaders are also beginning to put their animals out to pasture. LIBRARY HOSTS PETTING ZOO: The McKinley Memorial Library will present Summer Reading Kickoff: Pony Time Ranch and Petting Zoo 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on the grounds of the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial, weather permitting.
