BRACEVILLE 250: Braceville will celebrate America250 with a time capsule event and grand finale celebration from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. This is the township's final Braceville 250 event, which started one year ago and will be at the Braceville service center by the fire and police departments. The public is invited to bring their memories and mementos including letters, old photos and stories, letters, local artifacts, artwork and keepsakes. Those wanting to write their messages ahead of time there is a special archive paper at the Braceville fire department. The public will be able to bring their time capsule submission table set up at the event from 2 to 4 p.m. The time capsule will be sealed and will not be reopened until 2076.
SOUTHINGTON FUNDRAISER: The Southington Little Wildcats will have a fundraiser from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Tap and Grille, 2242 Greenville Road. The event will include food, horseshoes and musical entertainment. Monetary donations will be accepted. Proceeds from the event will help reduce football and cheerleading costs.
SEARCH FOR BIGFOOT: The Brookfield Library Branch, 7032 Grove St., will present "The Search for Bigfoot" at 11 a.m. Saturday. Amy Bue, a writer and educator from Northeast Ohio, will discuss her fascination with Bigfoot since she saw something in 2012 she could not explain. Bue has crossed the country speaking and researching in areas of high interest while following up on witness reports and looking for evidence of Bigfoot's existence. The presentation is free. The program is for adults.
PREHISTORIC PROGRAM: The Girard Free Library will have a prehistoric quest at 6 p.m. Monday, where children will be able to explore the library and find hidden dinosaur eggs throughout the hunt area. Once an egg is found it can be opened to reveal a different dinosaur inside. Registration is required at the library.
SUMMER FUN FEST: The Warren City Health District's Wellness on Wheels will be on-site at this year's summer fun fest from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace AME Church, 1137 Main Ave. SW. There will be free food, Ipad drawings, bike drawings and fun games.
All services are available for Warren residents as well as the surrounding areas.
